The Desert Rose was nice and we'd probably stay there again but the housekeeping was a pain. For some reason the housekeeper would not show up at room until 3:30 to 4:00 PM. We were chased out of the room twice so they could get in there. The last full day we were there they didn't show until 4:30! Needless to say I told them to forget it and come back in the AM after we checked out. It was also hard to get enough towels there were 5 of us and several times we had to call down to the front desk due to missing towels. The "free" breakfast was okay and a plus with kids, lunch in the condos was great with a full kitchen the housekeepers (when they remembered) would even load and run the dishwasher for you. All in all a nice place to stay in Vegas with kids, no gambling or bars on the property and very near MGM, New York New York, and Luxor. For a different meal choice try Metro Pizza down the street on Tropicana. Great pizza at an affordable price. Grand Canyon is 5 hours away, Hoover Dam 30 min, LA was a little over 4 hours away. This is a good central location to explore the southwest.

We just returned home from a weeks stay at this resort. I had chosen it based on the review status and on the fact that we were not interested in staying at a well know "vegas strip" hotel. What a great experience we had from start to finish. We arrived late in the evening after a long day of travel through 3 time zones and had just minutes before left a vey bad experience with the car rental company-so were understandably very weary and anxious to settle in. The moment we walked in we were given wonderful attention and service that only began a week of the same wonderful attention to every detail of our stay. Every staff member-grounds, housekeeping,food service-all were friendly, curtious-. The facility was set-up nicely-easy to get around and very clean and well maintained. I can not say enough on how great this trip was! I would highly recommend it to anyone and in fact have already.

I was very pleased with our stay and will definitely be back! The room was clean and very nice for the money. The location was perfect for me since I had a convention inside the MGM and could easily walk the strip at night. The convenience store located inside the lobby was fairly priced and the continental breakfast was decent. I highly recommend this resort!
