Wonderful place, but.......

Our first time here at Green Valley for our 2nd wedding anniversary, it is an abosulutlely beautiful place, clean, beautiful and serene surroundings, all deserving of a 5 star hotel. The service and staff workers here were the Best!. Much more relaxed away from the busy strip, but close enough to drive there. And lots of shops to nose around in if you like to shop. But... one thing to be aware of. Tricky prices.. We had a weekend special package that says ' free movie tickets' included. So we expected movie to be free. ??? But come to find when using them, they are only worth about $* each is what the guy told us at the movie window, when he says to us, that will be $* more?. The movie tickets are like $* dollars for adults. so you still have to pay extra. No big deal, but when your'e already spending money on food, drinks, tips, it does add up. Especially when it says "free" movie tickets. They aren't "Free". Then, the resort fee is $*, but you get added another tax on that as well as the hotel itself, and then the resort fee becomes a whopping $*!!! Geezzz. But, we would definetly come back again, we loved it . Price for hotel is excellent when you can get a special.. Oh and the beds are soooo comfortable! Rooms are big and clean and nice.

We went for a little RR August 5th -7th 20009 w/2 kids girls 15 8 loved it. Id gone to an event here on the backside of the property for work the food was great the hotel looked amazing. I later checked it out when I got back to my hometown on-line decided we had to go back. They offer great packages. We got a cabana a food deal one day movie tickets a food deal another day. It was wonderful. The cabana was awesome! It came w/a flatscrren TV beverages misters sofas an additional pool area. We didnt realize what we were getting were amazed! I have no complaints about the help. We were treated very courteously when we went it wasnt understaffed. The staff was very professional. The is also a separate pool for the over 21 crowd. The room was clean I would definitley go back. It is off the strip but offers its own shopping area I couldnt ask for more.

The Green Valley Ranch is a very nice facility. The casino is fun and relaxed, the pool area is beautiful and fun. The rooms are nice. The problem is the hotel was apparently empty (maybe 30%). The have trimmed the staff back so far that you had to wait a long time for everything. They cut the hours of the pool and there was virtually no resort staff. It appears the hotel let all the staff go and hired rent-a-cops. The staff that are left are tired and don't give a rip. The room wasn't made up until 5:00 PM. Food orders at the pool took a good 45 minutes and arrived cold. The bellmen take your tip but don't put your bags in the car. I let the front desk know of the foregoing and the "associate" said. "oh that's too bad, we hope you enjoyed your stay". I know people who just love this hotel. If the service was up to the price level, I would have zero complaints as the property itself is great. Instead of rewarding those who travel in these tight times, they punish us with their stinginess.

I have stayed in quite alot of hotels in Vegas, nice ones and not so nice ones. The Green Valley Ranch was by far the nicest resort or hotel I've had the pleasure of staying in, in Vegas. The hotel lobby is beautiful and the staff were very accomadating and helpful. What I really appriciated about the resort was that when you left your room and took the elevator down you were not in the casino, so the hotel was always quiet and serene. But, if you wanted to go to the casino it was just a short walk down a lovely hallway. The valet staff were quick and knowledgeable. They always remembered me when I left and when I arrived back at the resort. I also was very impressed with the spa. The women's lounge was well staffed and clean, I loved the private spa pool which was quiet and secluded, yet you could order from the bar. I will definitly stay at the Green Valley Rancho again.
