It took over 1/2 hour in line to start the check in process. Despite zero interest in the pool and no laptop, still charged the resort fee. Long walk to the elevator and then through the dirty carpeted hallway to find out that they gave me wrong room configuration. Went back downstairs and waited in a different line for another 10 minutes (check in line even longer at this point) to get the right room. Sat on the bed and discovered it was covered in graham cracker crumbs. Get the sense that if you only care about price you

Our first trip to Vegas and the hotel couldnt have been more pleasant. The room was clean the staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable. Plus the TV worked. We view a vacation hotel room as a place to end the day and nothing more so were not that demanding about amenities activities etc but if you want a good place to end the day at a VERY reasonable price you could do a hell of a lot worse. The location of the hotel can not be beat. We hung out in that area for the majority of our ten days in Vegas and NEVER got bored. We have booked two additional week-long trips to this hotel in the coming months.

Enjoyed everything but the buffet. Waited in line for breakfast and the worker removed the breakfast options with to people ahead of me without asking if anyone wanted some before he changed over to lunch. What was left over from breakfast was cold.

We were quite worried after reading many of the other reviews. To be quite honest, those folks need to get a life. Check in was fast and easy. The room was very clean. (we were with a group of 8 couples) No one in our group had any complaints except for the shower drains were all slow. Housekeeping did a good job each day, even replenishing our extra towels that we needed. Many of the other reviews mentioned the rooms smelled of smoke. Well none of ours did. Nor did we have problems with elevator noise. We were in tower 2 on the 17th floor. Our room was the first one down the hall after leaving the elevator. It was not an issue. We formerly had stayed at MGM for other trips. I will tell you this is not comparable to the MGM, however, neither is the price. For what you are paying for the Excalibur, it is well worth it. We are booking another trip for Labor Day week end and most likely will be at the Excalibur again.
