I have been traveling to Laughllin for the past 13 years and I have stayed at every hotel except for the colorado belle. The tropicana is a nice place to stay. You are not going to get a four star hotel in this city...its a cheap gambling town. I go to the river so this hotel suites me best because of its large parking lot set up for trailers. The only other hotel that has a lot this big is the Riverside but there rooms are old school. Tropicana underwent a renovation and their resort rooms are not bad. Just keep in mind your paying about * bucks a night which is dirt cheap...so for * bucks its a pretty nice place. Good steakhouse located inside near the casino, its excellent.

Upon check-in, was told they only had a smoking room available. When that wasn't acceptable, was told only handicap room was available. After approx. 10 minutes, of mentioning they should have the room available I reserved, they were able to find one with an upgrade. After check-in everything was great.

09/11/2010Got to our hotel room with 2 adults and 2 kids all tired and ready to shower and go to bed but our water in the shower did not work ...
GOT to our hotel room with 2 adults and 2 kids all tired and ready to shower and go to bed but our water in the shower did not work and instead of sending us to another room they sent a plumer up to our room the guy could not fix it so went to get his boss to fix it so call front desk to ask for a new room which then they made us come down to the lobby to get the new keys never did they apoligize or ask to give us a discount will never stay there again and there customer service was crap......

ELEVATORS WERE NO WORKING. ICE MACHINE NOT WORKING. THINK GOT CRUMMY ROOM BECAUSE OF LATE CHECK IN. NO INCENTIVE. WOULD HAVE LIKE A COFFEE POT IN THE ROOM. BUFFET WAS AWFUL. I WILL NOT BE STAYING HERE AGAIN.
