Stayed at Main Street for 4th of July. I've stayed at Main Street in the past and recommend it as a good budget choice for mature travelers and families. A good portion of the clientele are Hawaiian Islanders, so expect lots of Hawaiian shirts! While Main Street lacks glitz and glamour of strip hotels, you will appreciate the relative tranquility and lack of drama. Rooms are basic but fine, if you are a light sleeper, be sure to ask for a room away from the train and freway, which run behind the hotel complex.

Whatever you do, do not get a room on the freeway side of the building. The freeway is very close and very loud and uncomfortable. Kind of like staying under an underpass during rush hour. After we demanded a new room on the other side of the building we were placed on the 7th floor above all the exhaust fans and the noise there was less but was like having the AC unit on all the time. The Pillows are wimpy, so ask for a few more upon checkin. Otherwise the room was clean and it would have been a good room for the price if not for the noise. The staff was friendly, the food in the sports pub was mediocre and your best best is to eat at the california or freemont which are both close. Not many young couples at the hotel mostly 50 plus for age, so if you are looking for a party atmosphere this is not the place.

Just got back from Vegas trip. This was a very good hotel and I would stay again without question. It's a little off the beaten path but a great place to stay. A real value and close to Freemont street. A little ways from the lights and glitter of the strip. The triple 7 bar and resturant are awesome!! No complaints what so ever.

We travel to Las Vegas yearly and usually always stay downtown on Freemont Street. We always visit the Main Street Station because we like their Friday night seafood buffet. We stayed there for the New Year 2010 and really like the casino and hotel. Our room was very comfortable and the whole casino is tastefully done with all the antiques and decor. Would definitely stay there again!

Stayed at Main Street Station during New Years with my girlfriend. Was disappointed right away that I could not get a room with a King bed but instead had to settle for two double beds. The room wasn't horrible, just a little small. It was a very average room. The hotel is not on Fremont Street, but the Fremont Street Experience is just a short walk of a couple of blocks. The neighborhood right around the hotel is a little sketchy, but I never felt endangered. The brew pub was pretty good. For the most part the beer was average but I did have one of their seasonal ales that I found pretty tasty. We ate at the buffet for breakfast one morning. It was actually very good. Probably the best part of our experience with this hotel. If I find myself in the Fremont Street area again and want to go have a meal, I would eat at the Main Street Station buffet. Overall, we didn't care for the place too much. We also prefer to be closer to the strip.
