We stayed 2 nights at the HGV Flamingo in Feb. 2010. I was quite imporessed by the facility. Be advised that there is no entertainment at this hotel. For us, that was the appeal because it forced us to go out and about to find things to do. In addition, its basically attacted to the Flamingo on the strip so nothing is too far away. The rooms were very nice and clean, we were only there to get ready for nights out and to sleep. All in all, the location is great, as is the price. Thumbs up!

Stayed for 1-week vacation with husband and 15 year-old son. A few negatives: our flight landed at 10:30 a.m., but hotel check-in not available until 4. We knew that ahead of time, and planned around it, but were a little inconvenienced when our room wasn't ready till 5. Staff was very helpful during that delay, however. We booked a "king suite" - king bed in bedroom with 2-person jacuzzi tub, separate living room with pull-out queen sofa, dining room and full kitchen area. We loved the space and lay-out. It worked well for privacy and for togetherness. Bed was pretty comfortable. Air conditioning adequate but not truly cold. Kitchen great, although toaster didn't work. Toaster was replaced within 10 minutes of call to maintenance. Shower flooded the bathroom floor due to missing caulk. Maintenance man said there was a design flaw as well. He fixed it, but we were unable to use shower for about 14 hours. That wasn't a problem for our timing, but might have been for other travelers. The health room's showers were available, and although we didn't ask, I'm sure the staff would have let us use a vacant room. Housekeeper didn't restock toilet paper or initially provide tissues, but she sure kept us in pillows and towels once she knew we like a lot of those! We were able to get more t.p. on request. Positives: the Flamingo pool was great, expecially for our son. It's not a "maze of water slides" as described, but has one nice slide and 2 tiny ones good for little kids. Great pool volleyball for teens/adults. Onsite deli/store very convenient and reasonable. Parking for handicapped convenient and free. Best of all: the staff were sincerely helpful, friendly, efficient. We felt completely welcomed and cared for! Absolutely go back!

I have good things and bad things to say for the hilton. The staff was great. They were very willing to please. I went to Vegas to get married and while I was getting ready I needed something from one of the shops but I couldnt get down there (my hair was in curlers) and they brought it to me. I needed a new iron the one in the room was broken and it was brought to me right away. The toliet also broke while we were there but it was also fixed right away. The bed was awful! I might just be spoiled with a memory foam at home but I hardly got any sleep at all the mattress was as hard as a rock! Housekeeping was very nice. Only the hotel itself wasnt very clean. By the time I made it to the limo in my wedding dress I was already filthy. The private pools are small but nice and never busy. My biggest problem with my trip was the Flamingo. I had horrible service at the salon there on my wedding day no less and for that I will never return. If you choose to stay at the hilton do not go near the flamingo which is hard to do since you just about have to go through it to get to the strip unless you go around. In the hiltons favor it was much calmer then the hotels on the strip. The hilton doesnt have the constant night life atmosphere. We did consider buying timeshare here until the flamingo ticked me off. If you want to stay at a hilton I would pick a different one not the one connected with the flamingo.

We didn't realize that this was a timeshare resort when we booked the room but they only asked us once about listening to the sales pitch. The hotel is in the rear of the Flamingo Hotel and was actually referred to everywhere as the Flamingo Hilton. The location is in the middle of the Strip and well situated. It was very quiet and casino/smokefree. The room was a studio with refrigerator/microwave/hot tub, etc.
